Give the saint of Allah Almighty a place to sit

The son of Ghaus-ul-A’zam, Shaykh ‘Abdur Razzaq رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه has said: Once, Ghaus-ul-A’zam رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه was asked, ‘When did you come to know that you are a Wali?’ So He replied, ‘When I was 10 years old and I would go to the Madrasah in my city and I would witness Angels walking behind me and around me. When I would reach the Madrasah, the Angels would repeat the following, ‘Give the saint of Allah Almighty a place to sit’. When I saw this event taking place frequently, I realised that Allah Almighty has made me a saint.’ (Bahjat-ul-Asraar, pp. 48)

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

O devotees of the Awliya! It was the grace of Allah Almighty upon Ghaus-e-Pak رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه that he recognised his own sainthood but remember, it is not a condition for sainthood that a saint is aware that he is a saint. However, a saint is definitely a scholar and one who follows the Shari’ah strictly. Any person who does not offer Salah, one who is a habitual alcoholic and gambler and one who opposes the Shari’ah can never be a saint. In this modern era, youngsters especially are in search of such people whom they can follow as a role model in order to be successful in this world. But alas! Due to being distant from Islamic teachings, they have forgotten that this worldly life is coming to an end. Therefore, to attain salvation in the life of the Hereafter and to be successful in the court of Allah Almighty, it is vital for us to search for such individuals who are perfect role models in terms of character and behaviour and who we take pride in after making them our leader.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers, the company of the Blessed Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was a means of Tarbiyyah for others. Whoever gained the honour of being in the company of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم out of the mercy of Allah Almighty, he became a shining star due to the company of the Blessed Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
