O devotees of Ghaus-ul-A’zam! You heard that through one glance of the Master of Baghdad, Huzoor Ghaus-e-Pak رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه, the uncleanliness of the heart of the thief was washed away and he رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه made him a Qutb of the time. Just ponder! When the glance of a saint of Allah can make a thief into a Qutb, then it is not a big thing for him to wash away our sins and rusty hearts. That is why we should remain in the company of Awliya رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه because the company of Awliya is a means of transforming our hearts for the better. The company of Awliya رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه is a way of saving ourselves from the deceit of Satan. The company of Awliya is a way of inclining towards good deeds. The company of Awliya رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه is a means of overcoming the Nafs. The company of Awliya is a way of getting rid of rust from the heart. The company of Awliya رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه is a means of having our sins washed away. The company of Awliya is a way of cleansing the inner-self of a person. The company of Awliya رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه is a way of inclining towards good deeds. All in all, the company of Awliya is a way of collecting much goodness.

While mentioning the benefits of the closeness of the blessed saints رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه and having love for them, Sayyiduna Ahmad Bin Harb رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه states: Loving the righteous people, staying in their company; looking upto and acting upon their sayings and deeds is the most beneficial for a human heart. (Akhlaq-us-Saliheen, pp. 35; Tanbih-ul-Mughtarrin, pp. 41)

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

O the devotees of Awliya! It is a reality that whoever Allah grants the crown of sainthood, then such things happen from him that gets a person astonished. For example, Awliya رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه can raise the dead by the ability granted by Allah, it rains by the blessing of Awliya, Awliya رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه cure the ill by the ability granted by Allah, Awliya know the knowledge of unseen by the ability granted by Allah Almighty, Awliya رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه clean the rust in the heart from the ability granted by Allah and Awliya رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه resolve difficulties of creation by the ability granted by Allah.
