٭Whilst being appointed at the rank of being a caliph, he رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ fulfilled all the responsibilities of the caliphate beautifully.  

 ٭He رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ was the desire of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. (i.e. he رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ was the result of the acceptance of Holy Prophet’s صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم Du’as).

 ٭His blessed heart was immensely illuminated with the Noor of Allah Almighty.

 ٭He رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ was an embodiment of wisdom.

 ٭Examples of his courage, bravery, humility, simplicity, determination, valour, perseverance, persistence, honesty, intelligence, wisdom and patience are engraved in the books of history even today.            

 ٭He رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ moulded his habits into the Sunnahs of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.

 ٭Finally, an accursed person attacked him with a dagger during Fajr Salah. Due to the intensity of wounds, he رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ embraced martyrdom on the third day [of the attack]. At that time, he رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ was 63 years old.

 ٭Sayyiduna Suhaib رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ led his funeral Salah and he رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ was laid to rest in the blessed Raudah of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم beside Sayyiduna Siddeeq-e-Akbar رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب   صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! Ameer-ul-Mu`mineen Sayyiduna ‘Umar Farooq-e-A’zam رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ used to look after and help out people. His blessed Seerah contains many such parables where he رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ resolved different problems of people while looking after them and helping them out. Let’s listen to few parables in this regard.
