Dear Islamic brothers! اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه today, we will listen to few parables regarding how our righteous predecessors, especially Ameer-ul-Mu`mineen Sayyiduna ‘Umar Farooq-e-A’zam رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ, carried out the welfare of the grieved Ummah of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Farooq-e-A’zam’s رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ welfare for one family

One night, Ameer-ul-Mu`mineen, Sayyiduna Farooq-e-A’zam رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ was on the visit of Madina-e-Munawwarah. In the meanwhile, he رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ saw a tent. When he رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ went near it, he رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ heard someone in pain. One man was sitting outside the tent. He رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ greeted him with Salaam and inquired after him. Upon this, he رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ found out that he actually came to meet the Caliph of the time. However, he was unaware of the fact that Caliph of the time is standing in front of him.

Anyhow, he told Sayyiduna Farooq-e-A’zam رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ that his wife is pregnant and the time of the child’s birth has approached. Ameer-ul-Mu`mineen, Sayyiduna Farooq-e-A’zam رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ came to his house and said to his wife, Sayyidatuna Umm-e-Kulsoom Bint-e-‘Ali رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ  عَنْہُمَا: “Do you want to earn reward? Allah Almighty has made it reach you itself.”

She رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهَا humbly said: “Huzoor! What’s the matter?”

He رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ replied: “A woman is about to give birth to her child and there is no one with her.”

She رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهَا humbly said: “If you agree, I will come.”

He رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ said: “OK. Take the necessary stuff with you.”   

When they reached there, he رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ sent his wife inside and sat by the man outside himself. He رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ said to him: “Light up the fire.” He lit up the fire. He رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ placed the cooking pot on it. As the food got ready, the child was born at the same time too.
