Judgement Day. Let’s listen to two admonitory parables about it and learn a lesson.
Sayyiduna Fudayl bin Iyaad رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه narrates that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُمَا said: On the Judgment Day, a very ugly blue-eyed old woman, whose teeth would be out from the front side, will appear in front of people and people will be asked, ‘Do you know her?’ People will say, ‘We want Allah’s protection from its recognition.’ It will be said, ‘It is the same world of which you used to be proud; you used to break off relations because of it; you used to feel jealous and bear enmity because of it.’ Then that [the world like the old woman] will be put into Hell. It will call aloud, ‘O my Master! Where are my followers and my group?’ Allah Almighty will say, ‘Put them with her too.’ (Mawsu’ah li Ibn Abid Dunya, vol. 5, pp. 72, Raqm 123)
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic brothers! Just ponder! There are unwise people who commit many sins for the sake of the world, who stop performing virtuous deeds for the sake of the world, who commit sins like jealousy and backbiting for the sake of the world, who tell lies and break promises for the sake of the world, who cheat people and commit theft for the sake of the world, who are burning with hatred and enmity for the sake of the world, who break off relations with each other for the sake of the world, who leave Fard and Wajib acts for the sake of the world, who do not care for Halal and Haraam for the sake of the world and who do not become good and righteous Muslims for the sake of the world. Such unfortunate people, on the Judgment Day, will be put into the fire with the world. May Allah Almighty remove the love of the world from our hearts and put the love of Salah and fast in them!
اٰمِيۡن بِجَاهِ النَّبِيِّ الۡاَمِيۡن صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيۡهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
