stated: Just after embracing Islam, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ openly declared it and also started inviting [people] to it. Since he رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ was very soft-hearted amongst his nation, he would share in their sorrow, and was everyone’s favourite personality, he was fully aware of the status and nobility of the lineage of Quraysh and their every good and evil. He رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ was also a famous and well-mannered trader. All the prominent personalities and common people of Quraysh would come to him due to his virtues in knowledge and business, and his good company. They would benefit from his blessed company. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ would make an individual effort on them, tell them the virtues of Islam and would invite them to embrace Islam. In this way, he رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ also motivated many people, who visited him, to embrace Islam by making individual efforts on them. (Ar-Riyad-un-Nadarah, vol. 1, pp. 91)
