once again. Ameer-ul-Mu`mineen, Sayyiduna ‘Usman-e-Ghani رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ stood up once again and said, ‘Ya Rasoolallah صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! I take the responsibility of [donating] 300 camels with all the provisions.’ Upon hearing this, the Holy Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم became extremely happy. That is why, he رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَنْهُ is referred to as ‘مُجَهِّزُ جَيۡشِ الۡعُسۡرَة’ i.e. the helper of the army of lesser means. (Sunan-ut-Tirmiżi, vol. 5, pp. 391, Hadees 3720)

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب          صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! These days, we see some people showing their intention to donate when they see others spending in the path of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ. However, when the time comes for handing over the money as per their commitment, they find it extremely difficult to meet their commitment. Some do not even give the amount that they committed to. May we be sacrificed upon the generosity of the Holy Rasool’s beloved, ‘Usman-e-Ghani رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَنْهُ, who donated more than what he رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَنْهُ announced.

Commenting on the above-mentioned Hadees, Hakeem-ul-Ummat Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه has stated, ‘Bear in mind that this was (only) his announcement, but when the time of delivering came, he رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَنْهُ gave 950 camels, 50 horses and 1000 Ashrafis (gold coins). Later on, he رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَنْهُ donated another 10,000 Ashrafis.’

Hakeem-ul-Ummat Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه has further stated, ‘Note that he رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَنْهُ initially committed 100 camels, then 200 more and then an additional 300 camels, i.e. 600 camels in total.’
