’Alan-Nabi is recited upon the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم abundantly and this is the month of sending Salat-’Alan-Nabi to the Beloved Rasool               صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. (Ghunya-tut-Talibeen, vol. 1, pp. 342)

Hence Salat-’Alan-Nabi should be recited abundantly in this blessed month. Let’s listen to a parable from page 422 of ‘Guldastah-e-Durood-o-Salam’, published by Maktaba-tul-Madinah in order to form the habit of reciting Salat-‘Alan-Nabi in Sha’ban-ul-Mu’azzam.

Good news of intercession

There was a man who did not recite Salat-‘Alan-Nabi upon the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. One night, he was privileged to see the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in his dream. He صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم did not pay attention to him. He humbly said: O the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! Are you displeased with me? No, replied the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. He humbly asked: Then why do you not give me any attention? The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied: Because I do not recognise you. He humbly said: Your Honour! How is it possible that you do not recognise me; I am one of the person of your Ummah [followers], and Islamic scholars say that you know your Ummati [follower] better than a father who recognizes his son. The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied: Islamic scholars have said truthfully, but you do not remember me through Salat-‘Alan-Nabi and I recognize the people of my Ummah due to their recitation of Salat; the more they recite Salat upon me, the more I recognize them.

When he woke up, he made it compulsory for himself to recite Salat-‘Alan-Nabi upon the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم one hundred times daily. Afterwards, that person got into the habit of reciting Salat-‘Alan-Nabi one hundred times daily. After some period of time, he was again blessed with the sacred sight of the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم stated: I now recognise you and I will also intercede for you.

Dear Islamic brothers! It has been learnt that that the Beloved Rasool                 صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم not only becomes pleased with the reciter of Salat-‘Alan-
