Companion in Paradise

Shaykh-e-Tareeqat, Ameer Ahl-e-Sunnat, Abu Bilal Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qaadiri Razavi Ziya’ee دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ has stated his booklet ‘Oceanic Dome’: Once Sayyiduna Musa عَـلٰى نَبِـيِّـنَا وَ عَـلَيْـهِ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام humbly requested in the blessed court of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ, ‘O the most Forgiving! Show me the person who will be my companion in Paradise.’ Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ said, ‘Go to such and such city. You will find there so and so meat trader who is your companion in Paradise.’ Therefore, Sayyiduna Musa عَـلٰى نَبِـيِّـنَا وَ عَـلَيْـهِ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام went to the city to meet the meat trader. (Despite not knowing him, considering him to be a traveller and a guest), the meat trader invited Sayyiduna Musa عَـلٰى نَبِـيِّـنَا وَ عَـلَيْـهِ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام. When both of them sat down to eat, he placed a very big basket beside him. He would eat one morsel himself and put two into the basket. In the meantime someone knocked on the door. The meat trader stood up and went out. Meanwhile, Sayyiduna Musa عَـلٰى نَبِـيِّـنَا وَ عَـلَيْـهِ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام looked in the basket and found an elderly man and woman inside. As soon as they looked at Sayyiduna Musa عَـلٰى نَبِـيِّـنَا وَ عَـلَيْـهِ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام, a smile spread across their faces. They testified the Risalat [Prophethood] of Sayyiduna Musa عَـلٰى نَبِـيِّـنَا وَ عَـلَيْـهِ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام and passed away immediately.

When the meat trader came back and looked at his deceased parents in the basket, he understood the whole matter. Then, kissing the hands of Sayyiduna Musa عَـلٰى نَبِـيِّـنَا وَ عَـلَيْـهِ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام he humbly said: ‘It seems that you are the Nabi of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ, Sayyiduna Musa Kaleemullah (عَـلٰى نَبِـيِّـنَا وَ عَـلَيْـهِ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام).’ Sayyiduna Musa عَـلٰى نَبِـيِّـنَا وَ عَـلَيْـهِ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام asked: ‘How did you judge it?’ He replied: ‘My parents would make the following Du’a beseechingly every day: O Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ)! Bless us with the death while we are beholding Sayyiduna Musa عَـلٰى نَبِـيِّـنَا وَ عَـلَيْـهِ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام. Due to their sudden death, I judged that you must be Sayyiduna Musa (عَـلٰى نَبِـيِّـنَا وَ عَـلَيْـهِ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام).’

The meat trader humbly said further: ‘When my mother ate food, she would get delighted and make the following Du’a for me. O Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ)! Make my son the companion of Sayyiduna Musa عَـلٰى نَبِـيِّـنَا وَ عَـلَيْـهِ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام in Paradise.’ Sayyiduna Musa عَـلٰى نَبِـيِّـنَا وَ عَـلَيْـهِ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام said, ‘Congratulations! Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ has made you my companion in Paradise.’ (Samundari Gumbad, pp. 7)
