knowledge by attending Madani Halqahs and Madani Muzakarahs with absolute concentration and undivided attention. Millions of rupees are spent on Langar-e-Razawiyyah. Many devotees of Rasul make their contribution to this good deed as well. This year too, اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه عَزَّوَجَلَّ, Itikaf for the entire month and for the last ten days of Ramadan will take place at hundreds of venues within and outside Pakistan. Thousands of lovers of Ramadan will attend this I’tikaf, gaining the blessings of Ramadan. With other good intentions, all devotees of Rasool should intend to make their contribution to ‘Langer-e-Razawiyyah’.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                  صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! Tonight is the 27^th night of Rajab and tomorrow will the 27^th day of Rajab. The Sawm of the 27^th of Rajab is of great excellence. ‘The fortunate person, who observes Sawm on the 27^th of Rajab, earns the reward of the Siyam of 60 months.’ (Return of the Shroud, pp. 8)

Reward of Siyam of 100 years

Great excellence of the Sawm of the 27^th of Rajab has been narrated. The Greatest and Noblest Nabi صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, ‘There is a day and a night in Rajab. If a person observes Sawm during that day and stands (for worship) during the night, it is as if he has observed Siyam for one hundred years and worshipped at night for one hundred years; and that is the 27^th of Rajab.’ (Shu’ab-ul-Iman, vol. 3, pp. 374, Hadees 3811)

The month of Shaban is also approaching. There is also great excellence of Siyam in this month.

The Nabi of mankind, the Peace of our heart and mind, the most Generous and Kind صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said, ‘(After Ramadan), the most preferable Siyam are those of Sha’ban; for honouring Ramadan.’ (Shu’ab-ul-Iman, vol. 3, pp. 377, Hadees 3819)

Sayyidatuna ‘Ayesha Siddiqah رَضِیَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَنْهَا has narrated, ‘The Beloved and Blessed Nabi صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would keep Siyam throughout Sha’ban.’ She رَضِیَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَنْهَا once asked, ‘Ya Rasoolallah صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم!
