Hafiz-ul-Hadees Imam Abul Khayr Muhammad Bin ‘Abdur Rahman Sakhaawi رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه has stated, ‘Great benevolence is shown to the people who celebrate the blessed birth [of the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم], by virtue of the blessings of this [reward-earning] act.’ (Subul-ul-Huda, vol. 1, pp. 362)

Sayyiduna Imam Ahmad Bin Muhammad Qastalani رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه has stated, ‘Among the benefits of arranging the gathering of Meelad in the month of the blessed birth of the Holy Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, it is proven that the year turns out to be peaceful. May Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ have mercy upon the one who celebrates the nights of the blessed birth-month of the Beloved Rasool                   صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم like Eid.’ (Mawahib-ul-Ladunniyyah, vol. 1, pp. 78)

Dear Islamic brothers! Besides adopting different ways to celebrate the blessed birth of the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, if possible, observe Sawm [i.e. fast] on the 12th of Rabi’-ul-Awwal, and in particular, on every Monday because our Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has also celebrated his birthday by observing Sawm on Mondays.

He صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم responded, ‘I was born on this day and the Holy Quran was sent down to me on the same day (i.e. on this day, first revelation was sent down).’ (Mishkat-ul-Masabih, vol.1, pp. 563, Hadees 2045)
