Blessed with Divine help for repentance in Du’a of congregation
A young man from Bab-ul-Madinah (Karachi) has stated: I was arrogant because of my good physique and young age. I used to get my clothes tailored according to the latest fashions and trends. Loafing around all night and gambling away money were some of my wicked habits. Committing sins and doing evil practices had become a part of my character. My parents who often used to advise me had also become disappointed. My mother would weep and make Du’a for me [but I did not care].
An Islamic brother associated with the Madani environment of Dawat-e-Islami would usually invite me to attend the weekly Sunnah-Inspiring Ijtima’, but I continued to turn a deaf ear to him. Ultimately, we both reached the place of Ijtima’. By Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ! I had neither seen nor felt such spirituality in my entire life. When the highly emotive and tear-jerking Du’a began, the sobbing and weeping sounds of the attendees became so loud that even a hard-hearted person like me burst into tears. I repented of my past sins and joined the Madani environment of Dawat-e-Islami.
تمہیں لُطف آجائے گا زندگی کا
قریب آکے دیکھو ذرا مَدَنی ماحول
تَنَزُّل کے گہرے گڑھے میں تھے اُن کی
ترقّی کا باعِث بنا مَدَنی ماحول
یقینا مُقدّر کا وہ ہے سکندر
جِسے خیر سے مل گیا مَدَنی ماحول
