Dear Islamic brothers! Eid-ul-Adha comes and celebrated once in a year, no doubt, it is the best time to eliminate the differences and to spread the happiness. The way blessed Shari’ah has persuaded us to share our happiness and do good to our relatives, neighbours, needy and the poor on such events and occasions and to console them when they are sad and facing some troubles; similarly, blessed Shari’ah has made it desirable and recommended (i.e. act of reward) to keep a share for them in the meat of sacrifice and to do good with them on these blissful moments of Eid e Qurban.

Use of meat

Shaykh-e-Tareeqat, Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, ‘Allamah Maulana Abu Bilal Muhammad Ilyas ‘Attar Qadiri Razavi دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـه has stated on page 23 of his booklet ‘Ablaq Ghoray Suwar’ [Piebald Horse Rider]:

The sacrificer can eat the meat of the sacrificed animal and can also give and serve it to the rich as well as the poor. In fact, it is Mustahab for him to eat a little meat. It is better to divide the meat into three shares – one for the poor, one for his relatives and friends and one for his own family. If he keeps all the meat for himself, there is no sin.
