Anything that is contrary to a normal thing, means that an action cannot be performed by any human normally such as flying in the air, walking on the water etc. because normally, neither can a person fly in the air (on his own) nor can he walk on the surface of the water. (Faizan Mazaraat-e-Awliya, pp. 46)

Definition of an ‘Islamic saint’

Sayyiduna ‘Allamah Sa’duddeen Mas’ood Bin ‘Umar Taftazaani رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه has said: A Wali is that person who recognizes Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ and His attributes to a possible extent, performs worship regularly and prevents himself from every type of sins, pleasure and lust. (Sharh-ul-‘Aqaaid, pp. 313)

تُو اپنی ولایت کی خیرات دے دے    مرے غوث کا واسطہ یا الٰہی

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب       صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Now let’s listen to some faith-refreshing saintly-miracles of Sayyiduna Khuwajah Ghareeb Nawaz رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه:

Raised an innocent person who was murdered

Once, a ruler hanged an innocent person. Weeping bitterly, the mother of the murdered person went to Sayyiduna Khuwajah Ghareeb Nawaz رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه for help and said: The ruler has unjustly executed my son. For Allah’s sake, help me. At that time, Sayyiduna Khuwajah Ghareeb Nawaz رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه was performing Wudu. Having heard this request for help, he رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه took his blessed staff in hand and with this grieved mother went towards her murdered son. The disciples also went along with him to witness another saintly-miracle of his. When he رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه approached the murdered person, he رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه stood silently for some time and kept looking at the dead body and then touching his neck with the staff, he رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه stated: O innocent one! If you have really been killed unjustly, then by the order of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ become alive again. These words were just uttered when suddenly the dead body stood up and fell at the feet of Sayyiduna Khuwajah Ghareeb Nawaz رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه.
