more than my children to come inside and who has grown the hair we have on our head after Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ, you Sadaat-e-Kiraam has grown them.’

Sayyiduna Ali’s love for Imam Hasan

Sayyiduna Asbagh Bin Nubatah رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ has said: Once Sayyiduna Imam Hasan Mujtaba رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ fell ill, Sayyiduna ‘Ali-ul-Murtada کَـرَّمَ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَـالٰی وَجۡـھَـهُ الۡـکَـرِیۡم went to inquire after him; we also went there along with him to inquire after him. Asking about his health Sayyiduna ‘Ali-ul-Murtada کَـرَّمَ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَـالٰی وَجۡـھَـهُ الۡـکَـرِیۡم said: O the grandson of Rasool! How is your health now? Sayyiduna Imam Hasan رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ humbly said: اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه عَزَّوَجَلَّ, I am better. Sayyiduna ‘Ali کَـرَّمَ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَـالٰی وَجۡـھَـهُ الۡـکَـرِیۡم said: If Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ willing so you will remain better, then Sayyiduna Imam Hasan رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ humbly said: Help me to sit. Sayyiduna ‘Ali کَـرَّمَ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَـالٰی وَجۡـھَـهُ الۡـکَـرِیۡم sat him making him lean against his chest, then Sayyiduna Imam Hasan        رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ said: One day my maternal grandfather (صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم) said: O my son! There is a tree in Paradise called ‘Shajara-tul-Balwa’. The people suffering from troubles will be gathered beside this tree on the Judgement Day, though that time balanced would not have been placed nor would the Books of Deeds have been opened, complete reward will be bestowed upon them. Then the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم recited this blessed verse:

اِنَّمَا   یُوَ فَّی  ا لصّٰبِرُ وۡنَ   اَجۡرَ ہُمۡ   بِغَیۡرِ   حِسَابٍ   ﴿۱۰﴾

Translation from Kanz-ul-Iman: It is the steadfast who will be paid their full reward, without account. (Part 23, Surah Az-Zumar, verse 10)

Dear Islamic brothers! From this parable not only do we come to know about the love of Sayyiduna ‘Ali کَـرَّمَ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَـالٰی وَجۡـھَـهُ الۡـکَـرِیۡم for his son Sayyiduna Imam Hasan رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ but we also learn from the saying of the Beloved Prophet    صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم narrated by Sayyiduna Imam Hasan رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ that those who remain patient on worries, troubles and difficulties, will gain complete reward on the Day of Judgement.
