Surah Luqman Ayat 10 Translation Tafseer

Para 21 - اُتْلُ مَاۤ اُوْحِیَ

سورة لقمن

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

31.10

خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ بِغَیْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا وَ اَلْقٰى فِی الْاَرْضِ رَوَاسِیَ اَنْ تَمِیْدَ بِكُمْ وَ بَثَّ فِیْهَا مِنْ كُلِّ دَآبَّةٍؕ-وَ اَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَاَنْۢبَتْنَا فِیْهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِیْمٍ(10)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

He created the heavens without pillars that you can see[1] and placed anchors in the earth lest it should carry you away, and He spread all kinds of animals therein. And We sent down water from the sky and made every refined type of pair grow therein.

Commentary

One meaning of creating the heavens without pillars is that there are actually no pillars–this absence of pillars is observable. Another meaning is that the heavens do have pillars, but they are not visible to you, hence, it is as though it was created without pillars.
