Surah Al Furqan Ayat 42 Translation Tafseer

Para 19 - وَ قَالَ الَّذِیْنَ

سورة الفرقان

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

25.42

اِنْ كَادَ لَیُضِلُّنَا عَنْ اٰلِهَتِنَا لَوْ لَاۤ اَنْ صَبَرْنَا عَلَیْهَاؕ-وَ سَوْفَ یَعْلَمُوْنَ حِیْنَ یَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ مَنْ اَضَلُّ سَبِیْلًا(42)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

˹And they say,˺ “It was indeed near that he would have diverted us from our gods had we not remained devoted to them.” Soon they will come to know, when they see the punishment, who was most misguided from the path. [1]

Commentary

This is a response to the allegations of the Makkan disbelievers; they themselves are astray and will realise this truth in the Hereafter. Their lie against the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is exposed.
