Book Name:Parables Of ALLAH Loving People
who You love, and the love of the deeds that will bring me closer to Your love. ‘اَللّٰہُمَّ اجْعَلْ حُبَّکَ اَحَبَّ اِلَیَّ مِنْ نَفْسِیْ وَمَالِیْ وَاَہْلِیْ وَمِنَ الْمَاءِ الْبَارِدِ’ O Allah! Make Your love dearer to me than my life, wealth, family, and cold water.[1]
Dear Islamic brothers! You have heard that Prophet Dāwūd عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم would make used to supplicate to Allah for His love. Therefore, we too should supplicate to Allah for His love. Indeed, Divine love is such a great blessing that when one attains it, he is granted the delight of worship and sweetness of faith.
Sayyidunā Anas bin Mālik رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ narrates that the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:‘ثَلاَثٌ مَنْ کُنَّ فِیْہِ وَجَدَ بِہِنَّ حَلَاوَۃَ اْلاِیْمَانِ’
The person who possesses all three of these qualities will attain the sweetness of faith: (1) He loves Allah and His Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم more than anything else.
