Book Name:Ya ALLAH Mein Hazir Hon
to ḥajj or ʿumrah. Every single day, out of love for Allah, we should continue to recite لَبَّیْک اَللّٰہُمَّ لَبَّیْک.
The meaning of لَبَّیْک اَللّٰہُمَّ لَبَّیْک
The renowned scholar, Ibn Rajab Ḥanbali رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه comments on this hadith by saying:
The word لَبَّیْک appears twice in the phrase لَبَّیْک اَللّٰہُمَّ لَبَّیْک. When a word is repeated in the Arabic language, it gives the meaning of continuity. So, the meaning of لَبَّیْک اَللّٰہُمَّ لَبَّیْک is not, “O Allah! I am present only once” or “I am present only today”, but it instead means, “O Allah! Whenever You command me, I am present. I am always present for Your orders. I will not disobey You for even a moment.”[1]
The scholar, Ibn Rajab Ḥanbali continued to explain:
Whoever says لَبَّیْک اَللّٰہُمَّ لَبَّیْک every morning, it will mean: “O Allah! I have awoken as one who adheres to Your call, who acts upon Your commands and who refrains from what You have forbidden. I am steadfastly obedient to You, and I hasten in fulfilling Your commands.” When someone says this, it is necessary for him to act upon it. His speech and actions must correspond with one another.[2]
