We should also make it our habit on a daily basis to recite the noble Qur’an, read its translation from Kanz-ul-Iman and read its commentary from Khaza`in-ul-‘Irfan or Sirat-ul-Jinan with full concentration and reflect upon it. This way, alongside acting upon pious deeds, we will gain countless blessings of reciting the Qur`an and form a desire to do other acts of piety too اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه.
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic brothers, the people who love the Quran and also act upon it in addition to reciting it are very fortunate. Unfortunately, there are many people in our society who are distant from the noble Quran and are not honoured by its recitation for many months. This is why we are facing many different types of problems today.
Strained relations, domestic discord and unemployment have us in their grip. Almost every one of us has the noble Qur’an in our homes, which is a source of fortune. However, it is as though we have placed the noble Qur’an in our homes and forgotten about it, such that we do not even open it to look inside despite the great virtue for reciting it in our homes.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ states, “The home in which the Qur’an is recited becomes expansive for its dweller. Its goodness is manifold. Angels visit it and devils leave it. The home in which the Qur’an is not recited becomes constrictive upon its dweller. Its goodness is reduced. Angels leave it, and devils enter it.”[1]
The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم stated, “You should continue to connect with the Qur’an and recite it regularly. By the One in Whose power
