Book Name:Hajj Ke Fazail
Hence, it is narrated from Sayyiduna Hasan Basri رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه , “The fast of one day in Makkah Mukarramah is equal to 100,000 fasts; giving one Dirham in charity there is equal to 100,000 Dirhams; likewise, every good deed is equal to 100,000 good deeds.”[1]
We should also light the lantern of Prophetic love and establish longing for Hajj and visiting Madinah Munawwarah within our hearts, and have hope in the mercy of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه, we sinners will also be graced, and we too will visit Madinah one day.
Dear Islamic brothers, just as there are many virtues of performing Hajj, there are equally many warnings for those who do not perform it despite it being fard.
Not performing Hajj is a cause of a bad death
The final Prophet of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “The one who is not prevented from performing Hajj by a genuine need, an oppressive ruler or a debilitating illness, and dies without performing it, he may die as a Jew or as a Christian.”[2]
Thus, we learn that the one who was negligent of performing Hajj despite it being fard, and died without performing Hajj, there is a severe danger of him experiencing a bad death.
Dear Islamic brothers, remember, travelling with the intention of performing Hajj, Umrah and visiting Madinah al-Munawwarah are matters of good fortune. Without doubt, this is a great bounty of Allah Almighty, as travellers on this path are constantly showered with divine mercy and they are able to perform good deeds with every step,
