perform Umrah and then dies, Allah Almighty will record the reward of Umrah for him until the Day of Judgement.”[1]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers, you have just heard of the great rewards granted to those who perform Hajj. They are granted forgiveness for all their sins, they can intercede for their family members, and there is great certainty that their du’a for others leads to their forgiveness as well. Alongside this, the one who dies whilst on the journey of Hajj has the reward of Hajj written for them until the Day of Judgement.

Remember, only those who are chosen can visit Makkah al-Mukarramah and Madinah al-Munawwarah. How many wealthy people travel across the world, seeing the sights and drawing delight from luxurious destinations, yet they still remain deprived of performing Hajj and visiting the resting place of the final Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! Then there are others, who despite not having any apparent means, still have true sincerity and longing to perform Hajj. They make du’a consistently with sincerity, and Allah Almighty blesses them with the honour of visiting Makkah and Madinah.

The fortunate person who is granted this honour ought to thank Allah Almighty for this favour and remember his sins during this journey whilst focusing on the mercy of Allah Almighty. He should not waste the blessed moments of this journey by considering it mere entertainment like other journeys. As soon as he arrives at the Haram, he should spend his time in performing abundant worship, reciting the Quran and carrying out other righteous actions, for the reward of one good deed is equal to 100,000 in Makkah Mukarramah.
