Book Name:Hazrat Ayesha Ki Ilmi Shan
Abu ‘Atiyyah and Sayyiduna Masrooq رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُمَا) are great Tabi’ee. They had a difference of opinion regarding the Maghrib Salah and the Iftar of fasting. They went to Sayyidatuna ‘Aaisha رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهَا to resolve this, as she رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهَا was a great faqiha (jurist).”
The great Mufti رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه has further said: “Salah here refers to Maghrib Salah and hurrying refers to very soon after the sun sets. Late refers to delaying for a few minutes as a precaution, but not until it becomes very dark. Therefore, there is no objection on any of these pious personalities. One acts upon the primary ruling, and the other one on facilitation and ease.”
He رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه has also said: “Sayyidatuna ‘Aaisha Siddiqa رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهَا declared that the practice of Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ood رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ was according to the Sunnat-e-Mustahabbah and declared a little delay to be Mustahab. It has become obvious that the mother of the believers رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهَا was fully aware of the nature of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and knew of his blessed actions to a very detailed extent. It is possible that this news reached Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash’ari رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ and he must have made a change in his act. It cannot be expected from the blessed Companions رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُم that after becoming aware of any action of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, they would do contrary to it.”[1]

Dear Islamic brothers! Following in the blessed footsteps of the honourable Companions, we too should contact the people of knowledge if we do not know something. We should acquire Islamic knowledge and also encourage our children and siblings to do so. Surely, the more we have Islamic knowledge in society, the more we will overcome ignorance, and when ignorance is reduced, then definitely a large number of sins will be erased and then very soon our society will become a place of peace, اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه.
Let’s listen to some virtues of Islamic knowledge in light of Quran and Hadith, so that we may also develop a passion for acquiring Islamic knowledge.
