Pious predecessors رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰہ ِ  عَلَیْہِمْ اَجْمَعِیْن and Muslims

O devotees of the Awliya (Friends of Allah)! From the above parable, you can just imagine how engrossed our pious predecessors would be in relation to performing good deeds. Such that even at the time of death, when standing and offering Salah is not a possibility due to weakness, both feet have become swollen due to huge amounts of worship, pain is evident, but even with all of these excuses, the only wish is to attain some more good deeds, whereas on the other side, majority of the people are wasting their time in various pointless activities.

Our pious predecessors رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰہ ِ عَلَیْہِمْ اَجْمَعِیْن would lift their every footstep in accordance to religion and Shari’ah, whereas nowadays we want to run away from it. Along with Farz and Wajib, our pious predecessors would ensure they act upon Sunnah and Mustahab actions as well, whereas ignorant people even fail to act upon Farz and Wajibat. Our pious predecessors would spend their every second in yearning to attain good deeds, whereas there are such people who spend their whole life in ignorance until old age and are still not inclined towards performing good deeds.

Our pious predecessors would offer Fajr Salah with the same wudu they performed for Isha Salah for many years, whereas there are several people who do not even have the ability to wake up for Fajr. And those people that do manage to wake up, very few go to the Masjid to offer Fajr with Jama’at.

Our pious predecessors رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰہ ِ عَلَیْہِمْ اَجْمَعِیْن would be so much in love with the Sunnahs of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, whereas many people are fanatics about fashion and the joys of this world. Our pious predecessors رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰہ ِ  عَلَیْہِمْ اَجْمَعِیْن would not only perform good deeds themselves, but they would also spread invitation towards righteousness and get other people to act upon good deeds as well, whereas nowadays many people are spending whole day in sins. Not only that, some people are مَـعَـاذَ الـلّٰـه providing others the opportunity to sins as well. I wish every Muslim becomes pious, acts upon in the footsteps of our pious predecessors رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰہ ِ عَلَیْہِمْ اَجْمَعِیْن and is privileged with the ability to ponder and reflect upon the Hereafter like our pious predecessors رَحْمَۃُ اللّٰہ ِ عَلَیْہِمْ اَجْمَعِیْن.
