people working there are also sorted out by this department. This department is in fact a result of Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat’s دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ love and affection for the Masajid. He has a yearning to fill the Masajid with Salah offering people. This can be seen from the fact that he has made the Madani movement of Dawat-e-Islami ‘Masjid Bharo Tahreek’ (i.e. Masjid filling movement). He frequently makes the mindset of populating the Masajid in the weekly Sunnah-inspiring Ijtimas and Madani Muzakarahs. If only we could adopt the mindset of building and filling the Masajid as per Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat’s دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ desire. May Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ grant us all the ability to fill the Masajid by carrying out individual efforts.

Etiquette of visiting shrines

Let’s now listen to some manners and etiquettes of visiting shrines, taken from the booklet “Mazaraat-e-Awliya ki Hikayaat”:

٭It has been a custom of our pious predecessors to visit the shrines of the Awliya. Sheikh Imam Khallaal رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه states: “Whenever I faced a situation, I would visit the shrine of Imam Musa Kaazim-Bin-Ja’far Sadiq رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه and would use his Wasilah for my supplications. Through the blessings of this, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ would ease my worries and accept my prayers.” (Tareekh Baghdad, vol. 1, pp. 133)

٭Sayyiduna Imam Shaafi’i رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه states: “Whenever I was in need of something, I would offer 2 Rak’ats and then go to the shrine of Imam-e-A’zam Abu Hanifah رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه and make Du’a. Through the blessings of this, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ would grant me my need.” (Al-Khayrat-ul-Ihsan, pp. 230)

٭If any person would like to visit the shrine of Awliya or visit the grave of any Muslim, it is desirable to perform 2 Rak’ats at home (if it is not Makruh time). In every Rak’at, after Surah Fatihah, recite Aayat-ul-Kursi
