Softness of Mufti-e-Dawat-e-Islami

Dear Islamic brothers! We have heard a brief introduction into about the life of Mufti-e-Dawat-e-Islami, Mufti Muhammad Farooq Attari Madani رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه, from which it is evident that his whole life was spent in acting upon the Sunnah and Shari’ah. Those beautiful qualities that were in our pious predecessors رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه can also be seen in the life of Mufti-e-Dawat-e-Islami. One of his beautiful qualities was his softness. When reading his biography, it seems as if the quality of softness was embedded within his nature. He would act with softness with everyone and acting with softness with everything was a part of his nature.

His mother narrates: “We never saw him become angry with his siblings or his wife. He would always speak with softness.” (Mufti-e-Dawat-e-Islami, pp. 38)

One of the Muftis who worked with him narrates: “Mufti-e-Dawat-e-Islami would act with affection and kindness with his colleagues. He would always look out for others and there was no form of pretence or showing off. He never ever said to me, “Why haven’t you done this work?” He never shouted at me and I have never seen him shout at anyone else.”

(Mufti-e-Dawat-e-Islami, pp. 38)

The serving Islamic brother of the Ifta office narrates: “Once, there was a need to put some tables for the computers in the Ifta office. The measurements I took of the room were wrong, which resulted in the tables ordered being too small. If it was anyone else, he would have probably taken my class and shouted at me but Mufti Sahib رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه did not even express any form of anger. He just made me aware of my mistake in a soft and kind manner.” (Mufti-e-Dawat-e-Islami, pp. 38)
