Siyam in Sha’ban the most, out of all [other] months?’ He صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied, ‘Yes, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ records [the name of] every living being who will die this year and I like to be in the state of Sawm at the time of my demise.’ (Musnad Abi Ya’la, vol. 4, pp. 277, Hadees 4890)

May Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ enable us to observe tomorrow’s Nafl Sawm as well as the Siyam of Shaban and then all the Siyam of Ramadan; for the sake of Makki Madani Mustafa صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! If only we would succeed in attending I’tikaf for the entire month of Ramadan or for the last ten days! If only we also have the privilege of collecting Madani donations with good intentions.

اٰمِيۡن بِجَاهِ النَّبِيِّ الۡاَمِيۡن صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيۡهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                  صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
