Then, Sayyiduna Mika’eel عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم humbly asked, ‘What are Darajaat? (i.e. the deeds that cause the ranks of a person to be raised). The Holy Nabi صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, ‘Feeding food to the hungry for the pleasure of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ; promoting Salam among people and offering Nafl Salah at night when people are asleep. (These three deeds cause ranks to be raised in the Divine court.) Then, Sayyiduna Jibra’eel عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم humbly said, ‘What are Munjiyyaat? (i.e. the deeds which, if performed, protect from torment.) The Holy Nabi صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, ‘Fearing Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ apparently as well as innerly; practicing moderation in poverty as well as in prosperity; doing justice in anger as well as in calmness (these 3 deeds bring salvation). Then Sayyiduna Izra’eel عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم humbly asked, ‘What are Muhlikaat? (i.e. the deeds that cause a person to be doomed.) The Holy Nabi  صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, (1) ‘Following (i.e. showing) miserliness; (2) following desire of Nafs; (3)  and considering oneself to be better than others (these 3 deeds cause a person to be doomed). Then Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ said, ‘My Beloved has told the truth’

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                  صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! You have just heard how great respect and reverence was bestowed upon the Holy Nabi صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم by Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ. We should always sing the praises of our Nabi صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and spend the rest of our life performing good deeds abundantly, refraining from sins and acting upon his Sunnah, showing our devotion to him. Bear in mind, on the night of Mi’raaj, our Holy Nabi صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم saw the obedient people being blessed with Divine favours in Heaven but we should remember that he صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم also saw the disobedient ones being afflicted with Divine wrath in Hell. The sinners were being punished very severely for their sins. Let’s hear about some of those punishments so that we learn some lesson.
