Para 19 - وَ قَالَ الَّذِیْنَ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

26.181-182-183-184

اَوْفُوا الْكَیْلَ وَ لَا تَكُوْنُوْا مِنَ الْمُخْسِرِیْنَۚ (181) وَزِنُوْا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِیْمِۚ (182) وَ لَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ اَشْیَآءَهُمْ وَ لَا تَعْثَوْا فِی الْاَرْضِ مُفْسِدِیْنَۚ (183) وَ اتَّقُوا الَّذِیْ خَلَقَكُمْ وَ الْجِبِلَّةَ الْاَوَّلِیْنَﭤ(184)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

And give full measure and do not be of those who lessen. (And) Weigh with correct scales. And do not lessen the items of the people and do not roam around the earth spreading discord. And fear Him Who created you and the previous creation.”[1]

Not giving the full measure, returning less than what was entrusted, robbery, looting and spreading corruption on the earth by destroying crops were the ways of these people. Prophet Shuʿayb عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام prohibited them from these acts and warned them of Divine retribution. From this, we learn that a Prophet عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام does not only come to teach worship, rather, imparting the correct teachings regarding transactions, etiquette and politics is included in his rank of prophethood.
