Surah An Nahl Ayat 30 Translation Tafseer

Para 14 - رُبَمَا

سورة النحل

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

16.30

وَ قِیْلَ لِلَّذِیْنَ اتَّقَوْا مَا ذَاۤ اَنْزَلَ رَبُّكُمْؕ-قَالُوْا خَیْرًاؕ-لِلَّذِیْنَ اَحْسَنُوْا فِیْ هٰذِهِ الدُّنْیَا حَسَنَةٌؕ-وَ لَدَارُ الْاٰخِرَةِ خَیْرٌؕ-وَ لَنِعْمَ دَارُ الْمُتَّقِیْنَۙ (30)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

And when it is said to the pious, “What has your Lord revealed?” They say, “Goodness.”[1] For those who did good deeds in this world, there is goodness. And undoubtedly the abode of the Hereafter is the best. And undoubtedly what a beautiful abode of the pious it is!

Commentary

During the days of Hajj, the Arab tribes would send emissaries to Makkah in order to investigate the state of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. When these emissaries would arrive in Makkah, they would meet disbelievers on the roads leading into the city. These Makkans would incite them by spreading rumours about the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, but when the emissaries would meet the noble Companions رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُم, they would be informed of the true condition and excellence of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, and be made aware of the Quranic themes. This is the background of this verse. Thus, we learn that concealing the attributes of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is the way of the disbelievers, and mentioning his loftiness and greatness is the way of the noble Companions رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُم.
