Book Name:Mankind and the Station of Khilafah
from the tree of Paradise? He should not have done that! He sinned, and because of him, we were sent to the Earth!” They say many more careless and disrespectful things like this.
Speaking like this about a Prophet of Allah is extremely dangerous. In fact, in some cases, such statements can constitute disbelief. That is why we must exercise great caution in what we say.
May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to always remain respectful.
When Allah Almighty announced the Khilāfah of Prophet Ādamعَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم to the angels, what happened? Listen!
They said, “Will you appoint upon it one who will create discord therein and shed blood, while we glorify You through Your praise and state Your purity?”
The angels had either deduced from their own understanding or they had known it from what was already recorded in al-Lawḥ al-Maḥfūẓ (the Preserved Tablet), that humans would commit bloodshed and spread mischief upon the earth. That is why, to understand the wisdom behind Prophet Ādam عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام being made Khalīfah, they presented this question.[1]
In response, Allah Almighty proclaimed:
“I know that which you do not know.”[2]
