Book Name:Mankind and the Station of Khilafah

Aādīth and narrations about inviting to goodness

The final Prophet of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:

Shall I not inform you of people who are neither Prophets nor martyrs, but whose rank shall be admired by Prophets and martyrs on the Day of Judgement?

They shall be raised upon pulpits of light. These are those who made the servants of Allah Almighty beloved to Him, and they walk upon the Earth wishing well for others.

It was asked, “How do they make people into beloveds of Allah Almighty?”

The beloved Prophetصَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  stated, “They command people with the things beloved to Allah Almighty, and they forbid them from the things disliked by Him. When the people follow them, Allah Almighty makes them His beloveds.”[1]

In another Hadith, the beloved Prophetصَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  explained:

Whoever calls towards guidance shall receive reward equal to all those who act upon it, without their rewards being diminished in the least. And, whoever calls towards misguidance shall bear sin equal to all those who follow it, without their sins being reduced in the least.[2]

Imam Muhammad al-Ghazālīرَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه  reports:

Once, Prophet Mūsā  عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم submitted, “O Allah! What is the reward for a person who commands his brother with good and forbids him from evil?”

Allah Almighty replied, “For every word he speaks, I shall record for him the reward of one full year of worship, and I shall not punish him in Hellfire.”[3]
