Book Name:Nematon ka Shukar Ada Karnay ka Tariqa
to witness the shortcoming of another Muslim, showing thankfulness for the eyes also means to cover that shortcoming and keep it hidden.[1]
Dear Islamic brothers, the blessings and bounties we are given by Allah Almighty have certain rights which must be fulfilled. If we are successful in fulfilling them and thanking Allah Almighty in the ways we have just discussed, we have hope that He will increase these bounties upon us out of His infinite mercy. If we are ungrateful and remain complaining instead, Allah Almighty may become displeased and take them away.
The human mind is incapable of comprehending exactly how many bounties Allah Almighty has granted us. Every single blessing and bounty contains unimaginable wisdom. No matter how many advances are made in science, or how many inventions come to pass, there is nothing to date which can calculate precisely how many bounties Allah Almighty has bestowed upon us.
In the 14th part of the Holy Quran, سُوْرَۃُ النَّحْل, Allah Almighty states in the 18th verse:
وَ اِنۡ تَعُدُّوۡا نِعۡمَۃَ اللہِ لَا تُحۡصُوۡہَا ؕ
“And if you count the Favours of Allah, you will therefore never be able to count them.”[2]
Think about all the bounties given to a person when Allah Almighty creates them: a healthy body, eyes with the wondrous faculty of sight, sound intellect, ears which assist in understanding everything around them, hands which can grasp things, feet to walk, and much, much more. Not only this, think about everything Allah Almighty also granted people which allows them to fulfil their religious and worldly needs.
