their capacity to homes, workplaces, shops, schools, colleges, universities, jami’aat, and madaris. Islamic brothers who are financially capable of supporting this department’s work wholeheartedly play their part, and arrangement for the distribution of literary material is undertaken.

The responsible brothers of this department encourage the members of Dawat-e-Islami in particular, and every devotee of the Prophet, to act upon this Hadith:  تَـھَادُّوْا تَـحَابُّـوْا(Meaning, “Give gifts to one another, as love shall increase amongst you.”) by buying at least 12 books or booklets from Maktaba-tul-Madina, with their own personal income on a monthly basis. They are then encouraged to distribute these books to their respective family members, nearby shops, and to students, teachers etc. This department also oversees the distribution of literary material as an act of reward for deceased family members. Books and booklets should be purchased and distributed freely at commemorative gatherings (khatm, teeja, daswan, chaleeswan, etc).

Responsible brothers affiliated with the Department for the Distribution of Literature encourage and make arrangements to distribute books on occasions of joy and grief (weddings, deaths, commemorative gatherings, or gatherings held in honour of pious predecessors); to the grief-stricken (the unemployed, couples who are struggling to have children, and the sick); gatherings and processions of Mawlid, gatherings held in the honour of Ghaus al-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه (otherwise known as Giyarwi shareef), Laylat al-Bara-ah, the night of Mer’aj, Laylat al-Qadr, collective i’tikaaf, commemorative days of the pious, at speeches of Rukn-e-Kabinah or Nigran-e-Kabinah, meetings (Madani mashwara), when travelling to Madina al-Munawwara, upon the birth of a new child, ‘aqeeqah, weekly Ijtima, at Salat al-Jumu’ah, etc. Countless blessings and a tremendous reward can be gained from distributing books at these times.

اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه!
