Dear Islamic brothers! In this very booklet, Shaykh-e-Tareeqat, Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـه has stated: As there are causes of blessings in sustenance, there are also causes of deprivation in it. If we avoid them we will have a lot of blessings, اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه عَزَّوَجَلَّ. Then Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـه for the sake of benefitting Muslims, mentioned 44 causes of deprivation in sustenance.

43 Causes of deprivation

1.         To eat without washing hands.

To eat without covering the head.

To eat in the dark.

To eat and drink (water etc.) sitting at the doorstep.

To eat near the deceased.

To eat in the state of Janabat (ritual impurity).

To delay eating after the food has been served.

To eat on a bed without laying a dining-mat.

To eat on a bed whilst sitting by the headboard and the food is kept towards the direction where you put your feet (when you sleep on this bed).

To bite off the bread instead of breaking it with the hands (those who eat burgers should also take care).

To use broken clay or porcelain plates, cups etc. (Remember! It is Makruh to drink water, tea etc. from the side of a cup that is broken. Do not use the earthen (clay) plates, cups etc. that are cracked as many harmful germs and bacteria may be embedded in the cracks and may cause diseases).

To leave used plates, pots etc., uncleaned.

To wash hands in the same container used for eating.

To leave the plates, glasses etc. used for eating and drinking (water etc.) uncovered. One should recite بِسۡـمِ اللّٰه and cover them because if left
