Pious family of Daata ‘Ali Hajwayri

The father of Sayyiduna Daata ‘Ali Hajwayri, Sayyiduna Usman Bin ‘Abdul Rahman رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه was a great Islamic scholar, a pious man and a great worshipper of his time. In the era of kingdom of Ghazniyah, Islamic scholars, great Mashaaikh, poets and saints from all over the world had gathered in ‘Ghazni’. Therefore, ‘Ghazni’ became the centre of knowledge and skills. Sayyiduna ‘Usman رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه, the father of Sayyiduna Daata ‘Ali Hajwayri also resided there. Daata ‘Ali Hajwayri’s respected mother belonged to Husayni Sadaat. She was very pious and used to worship a lot. (Faizan Daata ‘Ali Hajwayri, pp. 6) She used to do Zikr of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ. The maternal uncle of Daata ‘Ali Hajwayri achieved fame through the appellation of ‘Taj-ul-Awliya’ by virtue of being pious and ascetic. In short, his family was famous for nobility and truthfulness, and knowledge and dignity. (Faizan Daata ‘Ali Hajwayri, pp. 6)

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه عَزَّوَجَلَّ! Sayyiduna Daata Ganj Bakhsh ‘Ali Hajwayri رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه had such a noble family. His father was a great scholar of his time and mother was a pious lady, a great worshipper and a devotee of recitation of the Holy Quran, whereas his maternal uncle was not an ordinary person, but rather he was famous by the appellation of ‘Taj-ul-Awliya’ i.e. the crown of blessed Awliya.

اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه عَزَّوَجَلَّ! When Daata ‘Ali Hajwayri رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه was born in such family that was blessed with knowledge and Amal [i.e. acting upon the acquired knowledge], worship and spiritual exercises and the recitation of the Holy Quran, he also received its great blessings. By virtue of his family, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ blessed him also with piety and righteousness. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ bestowed great knowledge upon Daata ‘Ali Hajwayri رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه and he رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه also benefited the people with it greatly.

مجھ کو داتا تاجدارانِ جہاں سے کیا غَرَض

میں تو ہوں منگتا تِرے دربار کا داتا پِیا

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب              صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
