before Ibn-e-Ziyad. Ibn-e-Ziyad spoke very gently and said: Go! Go happily to your home; there is no penalty upon you. Having said this, Ibn-e-Ziyad released him.

 

The nephew immediately went to his uncle, Safwan Bin Muhriz and knocked at the door. A voice was heard from inside: Who is it? He replied: Your nephew. Safwan Bin Muhriz was astonished upon the sudden arrival of his nephew. He opened the door and took him inside and then asked what had happened to him. The nephew related the whole incident of the night. Safwan Bin Muhriz gave thanks and welcomed his nephew back.

مِہرباں تُو ہی تُو ہی مددگار                        اُس دُکھی دل کا تُو حامیِ کار

جس کو دُنیا نے ٹھکرا دِیا ہے                      یا خدا تجھ سے میری دُعا ہے

 

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب       صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Du’a from the bottom of the heart is effective

Dear Islamic brothers! One of the manners of Du’a is that the person making Du’a should be humble; his heart should be present in his Du’a and he should believe that Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ will answer his Du’a through His grace and blessing. The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:

اُدْعُوا اللَّهَ وَاَنْتُمْ مُوقِنُونَ بِالْاِجَابَۃِ وَاعْلَمُوا اَنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَسْتَجِيبُ دُعَاءً مِنْ قَلْبٍ غَافِلٍ لَاهٍ

Make Du’a to Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ in such a way that you are absolutely sure that your Du’a will be answered and remember that Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ does not hear the Du’a of a heedless heart. (Sunan-ut-Tirmizi, vol. 5, pp. 292, Hadees 3490)

 

Once, Sayyiduna Musa عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام passed by a person who was humbly making Du’a. Sayyiduna Musa عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام said: If it were in my power, I would definitely fulfil his need. At the same time, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ sent a revelation to Sayyiduna
