Parables of Du’as being Answered
returned after visiting the shrine, the eyesight of the beggar was restored. The king said smilingly, ‘You were just paying lip service before and when you begged from the bottom of your heart in fear of losing your life, your wish was fulfilled.’
ہو چشمِ شِفا اب تو شَہا! سُوئے مریضاں
عِصیاں کے مَرَض نے ہے بڑا زور دکھایا
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic brothers! It has
been learnt that the Du’a which is sincerely made from the heart by the shrines
of the pious saints, through their Waseelahs, are also answered. Therefore, we
should also visit the shrines of the pious saints, from time to time, for our
needs and we should make Du’as through their Waseelahs. Talking about the
manners of Du’a, the blessed father of A’la Hadrat, ‘Allamah Maulana Naqi ‘Ali
Khan رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه has said: One should present the blessed names of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ and His Attributes, His Books
especially the Holy Quran and angels and the blessed Rasools
عَـلَـيْـهِمُ الـصَّلٰوةُ
وَالـسَّـلَام, especially the Beloved
Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ
وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and the pious saints of
Allah, especially Sayyiduna Ghaus-e-Pak رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه as Waseelahs so that his needs can be fulfilled, because Du’as
are answered by presenting the Waseelahs of the beloveds of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ. (Fadaail-e-Du’a, pp. 71)
The Holy Quran orders us to present a Waseelah in His court, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ has stated:
وَ ابۡتَغُوۡۤ ا اِلَیۡہِ الۡوَ سِیۡلَۃَ
Translation from Kanz-ul-Iman: And seek the means towards Him.
(Part 6, Surah Al-Ma`idah, Ayah 35)
