As I bring this speech to a close, I am honoured to mention the excellence of the Sunnah. The beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: "Whoever loves my Sunnah, loves me, and whoever loves me, will be with me in Paradise."

Sunan and Etiquettes of Itikāf

Dear Islamic brothers! Let us listen to some pearls of wisdom regarding the sunan and etiquettes of Itikāf. First, here are two narrations of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم:

1. "Whoever observes Itikāf with faith and the intention of seeking reward, all his previous sins shall be forgiven."[1]

2. "Whoever observes Itikāf for ten days during Ramadan, it is as though he has performed Hajj twice and Umrah twice."[2]

1. Itikāf during the final ten days of Ramadan is Sunnah Muˈakkadah alā al-Kifāyah. If even one person in the city performs it, the communal obligation is fulfilled for all; if everyone neglects it, the entire community is held accountable.[3]

2. For voluntary (nafl) Itikāf, fasting is not a condition, nor is there any restriction of time. Whenever you enter the masjid, make
