to eat the seeds from his left hand whilst the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم continued eating with his right hand. When the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم finished, the goat also left.[1]
14. The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم did not eat raw garlic, raw onions or leeks (an unpleasant-smelling vegetable).[2]
15. The Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم never criticised food; if he liked it, he ate it; if he disliked it, he simply refrained from eating from it.[3]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Supplication for the forgiveness of deceased Muslims
According to the schedule of Dawat-e-Islami’s weekly Sunnah-inspired gathering, the supplication for the forgiveness of deceased Muslims will be memorised. The duꜤā is as follows:
(اَللّٰہُمَّ) رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَ لِاِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِیْنَ سَبَقُوْنَا بِالْاِیْمَانِ
“O our Lord! Forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith.[4]
Note: The word ‘'اَللّٰہُمَّ is not a part of the verse.
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Method of collective accountability (72 Pious Deeds)
The Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said, “Pondering ˹over the Hereafter˺
