and not visiting the next, as this increases love and affection. True maintaining of family ties is meeting relatives regularly, such as every Friday or at least once a month.[1]
2. In matters of truth and justice, tribes and family members should be united. That is, if relatives are on the right path, they should act together in upholding truth and opposing falsehood.[2]
3. If a relative presents a need or request, rejecting it is sinful. One should fulfill the needs of their relatives, and refusing their request is considered breaking the ties of kinship.[3]
Dua for a peaceful journey upon a mode of transport
According to the schedule of Dawat-e-Islami’s weekly Sunna-inspired gathering, we will now memorise a dua. This week, we will learn what we can recite to have a peaceful journey on a mode of transport.
(اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰہِ) سسُبْحٰنَ الَّذِیْ سَخَّرَ لَنَا هٰذَا وَ مَا كُنَّا لَهٗ مُقْرِنِیْنَۙ(۱۳) وَ اِنَّاۤ اِلٰى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُوْنَ(۱۴)
“Pure is He who granted us control over this; We were unable to control it . and we shall return to Our Lord.”[4]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

The Prophet صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ has said, “Pondering ˹over the Hereafter˺
