*   Hadith refers to the saying, action, state or tacit approval of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.^[1]

*   It is a communal obligation to acquire this knowledge; if the entire ummah is bereft of such a scholar, they will all be sinful.^[2]

*   Just like the Quran, the Hadith of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is also a fundamental source of Shari’ah rulings.^[3]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
