*   He رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ possessed asceticism and piety, and instructed others to adopt piety and righteousness

*   Those who would remain in his company would also become pious

*   He رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ would listen to statements about the fear of Allah Almighty from others

*   He رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ heard the words of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم from his birth

*   He رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ gave great services for the elevation of Islam

*   He رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ is the door to acquiring the virtues of sainthood

*   He رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ is a remarkable and very significant personality.

May Allah Almighty also grant us a life of piety and righteousness for the sake of Sayyiduna Ali رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ.

اٰمِیْن بِجَاہِ النَّبِیِّ الْاَمِیْن صلَّی اللہ علیہ واٰلہٖ وسلَّم

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                  صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! One beautiful and outstanding aspect from the blessed life of Sayyiduna Ali رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ is his devotion for the Prophet. Let us listen to two accounts in regards to this:

Sayyiduna Ali’s devotion for the Prophet

Once, in order to make arrangements for the food of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, Sayyiduna Ali رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ went to a non-Muslim’s garden and took out 17 buckets of water from the well. One date was stipulated in exchange for each bucket of water. The non-Muslim placed different varieties of dates in front of Sayyiduna Ali رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ so that he رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ could choose any that he wished. Thus,
