O devotees of Rasool! Let’s now listen to six blessed sayings of the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم about the importance of treating father well and the glory of father in the light of blessed Ahadees:

1. The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said: Father is the middle door of Paradise; it is up to you whether you protect it or leave it. (Tirmizi, vol. 3, pp. 359, Hadees 1906)

2. The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said: A son cannot fulfil the right of his father even if the son finds his father a slave and frees him after buying. (Muslim, pp. 624, Hadees 3799)

3. The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said: The pleasure of Allah Almighty is in the pleasure of father and the displeasure of Allah Almighty is in the displeasure of father. (Tirmizi, vol. 3, pp. 360, Hadees 1907)

4. The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said: The obedience to Allah Almighty is in the obedience to father and the disobedience to Allah Almighty is in the disobedience to father. (Mu’jam-e-Awsat, vol. 1, pp. 614, Hadees 2255)

5. The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said: The one who finds his parents or any of them and does not treat them well gets away from the mercy of Allah Almighty and deserves the wrath of Allah Almighty. (Mu’jam-e-Kabeer, vol. 12, pp. 66, Hadees 12551)

6. The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said: None of you should verbally abuse his father at all. Blessed companions عَـلَيْهِمُ الرِّضْوَانْ humbly asked: ‘Ya Rasool Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! How can a person verbally abuse his father?’ The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: ‘If he verbally abuses the father of someone, he will verbally abuse his father.’ (Muslim, pp. 60, Hadees 263)

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب           صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! Have you heard how high eminence Allah Almighty has bestowed upon father! Allah Almighty has made His pleasure and obedience on father’s pleasure and obedience.
