the father does not ask anything about these matters even he does not frown.

It has also been observed that if someone corrects the child, his father says: ‘He is very young now’, ‘he is unwise’, ‘he will understand with the passage of time, ‘we should not become so much strict with children’, etc. When the child who is deprived of Islamic upbringing, who is given too much love and who is given too much freedom brings shame on his father, family and the society, when he stares his father upon being scolded and not given money, when he scolds his father or beats him, that time the father starts recalling the pieces of advice of his well-wishers. Now the same father starts  becoming anxious for his child’s reform, makes Du’as and requests others to make Du’a for him, but there is no way to reform him because he has gone too far and his father is left with nothing but regret. It means due to a little heedlessness of parents a precious pearl is lost.

Due to not giving proper upbringing and giving too much freedom to children the father has to face great problems. Let’s listen to two admonitory parables about it and make intention to bring up children in the Islamic way.

Disadvantage of not giving Islamic upbringing to children

A person said to his father: You wasted me [by not bringing me up as per Islamic teachings] in my childhood, therefore now I will waste you in your old age. (Fayz-ul-Qadeer, vol. 1, pp. 292, Taht-al-Hadees 311)

When a childless person blessed with a child

In his book, ‘Call to Righteousness’, Ameer Ahl-e-Sunnat Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadiri دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ has mentioned: There was a rich person who had no child. He made great efforts for a child but could not succeed. Someone advised him to go to sacred Makkah and in Makkah go inside Masjid Haraam near Maqam-e-Ibrahim and make Du’a, اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه   your desire will be fulfilled. He did the same and Allah Almighty blessed him with a beautiful son. He brought him up with great elegance. Since the child was the only child he was given too much love, but not correct upbringing due to which he became profligate and extravagant. His father realized it very late and stopped giving
