environment in your home, and in fact this could further worsen the situation. If unwarranted strictness is expressed, Shaytan can sometimes make people stubborn.

٭ One excellent method of creating a Madani environment in the home is to ensure that you give or listen to a Dars from Faizan-e-Sunnat at home every day.

٭ Continuously make heartfelt Du`a for everyone in your family, as the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said, اَلدُّعاءُ سِلَاحُ المُؤْ مِنِ, meaning, ‘Du`a is the weapon of a believer’.  (Al-Mustadrak lil Hakim, vol. 2, pg. 162, Hadees 1800)

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب              صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Du’a for parents

In the Madani Halqahs of the weekly Sunnah-inspiring Ijtima’ of Dawat-e-Islami today, the ‘Du’a for parents’ will be taught. The Du’a is as follows:

(اَللّٰہُمَّ)  رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّیٰنِیْ صَغِیْرًاؕ(۲۴)

Translation from Kanz-ul-Iman: ‘O my Lord! Have mercy on them both, just as they brought me up in my childhood.’

(Part 15, Surah Bani Israel, Ayah 24)

Note: Arabic word ‘اَللّٰھُمَّ’ is not the part of the Quranic Ayah above.
