Book Name:Allah Walon Ki Seerat

Dear Islamic sisters! You heard that although Amir-ul-Mu’mineen Sayyiduna Farooq-e-A’zam رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ is definitely destined to Heaven, he would remain steadfast on the rules of Shari’ah. He loved Salah so much and had a yearning for good deeds that he did not even miss Salah whilst in the state of being wounded.

Imam Husain’s love for Salah

Similarly, Sayyiduna Imam Husain رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ would love the Holy Qur’an and Salahs very much. His love for the Holy Qur’an and Salah could be seen from the fact that on the 9th Muharram-ul-Haraam, when the hope of a truce with the enemies (Yazeedis) had finished, Sayyiduna Imam Husain رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ said to his brother: “If only this war could be delayed until tomorrow and we could get this night to spend in Divine worship, that would be good.” He further said: “If you get a chance, spend this night in Salah, Du’a and seeking forgiveness from Allah Almighty because I love Salah and recitation of the Holy Qur’an for the pleasure of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ and making Du’a and asking for forgiveness in abundance is a habit of mine.”  (Al-Kamil fit-Tareekh, vol. 3, pp. 415)

Punctuality in Salah and our status

Just think! There is the love for Salah of our pious predecessors رَضِیَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَنْهُم on one side, who would never miss Salah despite being critically wounded and surrounded with great danger. Whereas, on the other side are so-called Muslims like us, whose condition is such that majority of us don’t even offer Salah, and those who do offer Salah, most of them do so without proper concentration.

Some people do not even learn Salah or the Du’as that are recited during Salah. Some people cannot remain consistent in offering Salah, either they offer Salah in their happy times and do not offer it in the sad times and some offer Salah in the sad times and do not offer it in their happy times. There are even those people who believe they are free to miss Salah due to some minor difficulties, whereas, how is it possible? Would that for the sake of Sayyiduna Umar Farooq-e-A’zam رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ and Sayyiduna Imam Husain رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ we also gain the love of Salah. We would then be able to safeguard our Salah and hopefully not miss any Salah.
