Madani pearls on Tawakkul [absolute trust in Allah Almighty] and contentment

Dear Islamic sisters! Let’s have the privilege of listening to some Madani pearls on Tawakkul and contentment:

First of all listen to two blessed sayings of Mustafa صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم:

1. Contentment is the treasure that will never finish. (Az-Zuhd-ul-Kabeer, vol. 88, Hadees 104)

2. Undoubtedly, the person who embraces Islam will succeed; he will be given the amount of sustenance which will fulfil his needs and whatever Allah Almighty gives him, He also bestows contentment on him. (Sahih Muslim, pp. 406, Hadees 1054)

٭ Definition of contentment: When a person feels satisfied with whatever he gets from Allah Almighty and lives his life without any greed, it is called contentment. (Jannati Zaywar, pp. 136)

٭ If a person remains satisfied when he does not have the things which are needed in daily life, it is also called contentment.

(At-Ta’reefat lil-Jurjaani, pp. 126)
