Breach of trust leads to Hell

Without Shar’i permission, using or spending someone’s trust is called breach of trust. (Umdah-tul- Qaari, vol. 1, pp. 328)

Trustworthiness is Wajib (obligatory) upon every Muslim and breaching of trust is a Haram act leading to Hell. (Al-Hadiqah-tul-Nadiyyah, vol. 1, pp. 652)

 

یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تَخُوۡنُوا اللّٰہَ وَ الرَّسُوۡلَ وَ تَخُوۡنُوۡۤا اَمٰنٰتِکُمۡ وَ اَنۡتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ﴿۲۷﴾

 

Translation from Kanz-ul-Iman: ‘O People who Believe! Do not betray Allah and His Noble Prophet, nor purposely defraud your trusts.’

(Part 9, Surah Al - Anfaal, verse 27)

Breach of trust is a sign of hypocrisy

The Noblest Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: There are three signs, if found in somebody, will be hypocrite though he offers Salah regularly and observes fast regularly: (1) When he speaks he lies. (2) When he promises he breaks his promise. (3) When he is entrusted he betrays the trust.’

Admonitory consequence of betrayer

Some people came to Sayyiduna Abdullah Bin Abbas رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُمَا and requested: We have embarked on the journey of Hajj and a man from our Qafilah has died at the place ‘Maqaam-e-Sifah’. When we dug a grave for him, we saw a big black snake inside the grave sitting, occupying the whole area of grave, we dug another grave, but we found the same snake inside. Now, we are here to ask you the solution. Sayyiduna Abdullah Bin Abbas رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُمَا said:
