Book Name:Ghaus-e-Pak kay Waldain ka Taqwa aur Ghaus-e-Pak ki Tarbiyyat

Those who usurp the rights of people

Dear Islamic brothers! From this parable not only have we learnt about the fear of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ, piety and abstinence, chastity and modesty of Ghaus-e-Pak’s family, but also that they would happily tolerate great difficulties to fulfil the rights of people due to the fear of being disgraced on the Day of Judgment. That’s why he رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ accepted all the difficult conditions of the owner of the apple just to seek forgiveness, and he was only relieved after fulfilling the right of that owner.

The people who do not pay even a little attention to the rights of people should learn a lesson from this parable. Those who forcefully take someone’s things without their permission, pick something quietly from someone’s vegetables and fruit barrow and put them in their own baskets or get temporary pleasure by eating them immediately should think that if even an ordinary thing is picked without permission and then we will be caught on the Day of Judgment, then what will happen to us? Undoubtedly, the rights of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ are great, but in terms of repentance, the matter of the rights of people is tougher than the rights of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ. If somebody deprives another person of his rights and does not ask his pardon in the world, then on the Day of Judgment, that person will have to pay compensation with his good deeds. If the rights are not fulfilled in this way, then he has to be made responsible for his sins as well. The matter of the rights of people is very sensitive, but alas! Today, fearlessness is everywhere. Not only the general public, but also the eminent people are usually found heedless of this. Remember! To borrow things from others and then keep them deliberately, to borrow thousands or millions on loan and not to return it, to steal or snatch others’ possessions considering it a minor act, to go to someone’s celebration without receiving any invitation, to gather others’ possessions or wealth in the name of a bribe, to throw garbage next to someone's house or shop or on his roof or in his plot, in short, to violate the rights of people by considering it a minor act, seems very easy in the world, but on the Day of Judgment, these things must be returned to the one who deserves them and it will become very difficult to please him. Let’s listen to two sayings of our Beloved Mustafa صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم regarding the importance of fulfilling the rights of people:
